It was a small ceremony with only the closest of friends and immediate family. We all took turns hopping from table to table to catch up and talk about what a lovely match the new husband and wife are.

After the confetti settled, the last pastry was eaten, and the final glass of wine poured, the rain stopped, and we all stepped out of the restaurant into a freshly washed fall evening. Goodbyes were said, and for two people, a new life together began.
And now, if you’ll indulge me, dear readers, between wedding plans and all of the canning and closing up the garden for the year, I’m a bit tired. I’ll be heading off into the woods this week with my tent and my mushroom ID guide.
