Greetings Rural Sprout Readers,Â
Â
It’s been one of those weeks where one day blurs into the next, and suddenly you realize it’s the weekend. And, of course, your to-do list is still longer than your arm.Â
Â
It seems for every task I check off; two more things pop up that need to be added.
Â
And so it goes. Once the weather warms up, it seems there is always something to be tended to. Well, today I’d like to remind you, dear reader, to slow down a bit. Go ahead, put it on your to-do list.Â
Â
Take a moment to stop and appreciate this season.Â
Â
New green things are popping up everywhere. Birdsong fills the air. And there’s something downright magical about the sun streaming through the living room windows in the afternoon.Â
In the hustle and bustle of trying to get things in the ground, or get the yard tidied up or the myriad of other things that need to be done, don’t forget to slow down and enjoy it.Â
Make yourself a cup of tea – hot or iced and grab a book. Find a cozy spot indoors or out and read for a bit. Listen to the world around you and drink in the moment.Â
Â
Or, even better, take a nap.Â
Â
I’m a huge advocate of naps, especially on a Sunday afternoon. (When it comes to naps, any afternoon is good.)Â
Â
In this season of renewal and sunshine and new growth, don’t forget to stop and enjoy it.Â
Â
And, of course, I’ve gathered up a few of my favorite new articles from this week. We’ve got a few ways of improving your soil this week, and we’ll help you control slugs in your garden.Â
