Even as young as ten, I remember pouring over seed catalogs and drawing up the fanciest vegetable patches and herb gardens. Few of them came to fruition until I was an adult, but I still enjoyed all the planning. I still do, too.

It seems with the time change and warmer weather, everyone is gearing up for the 2021 gardening season, and I just can’t wait.
Last year we saw so many new gardeners join our ranks thanks to the pandemic and the lockdowns. This year many of them are returning, and even more are getting started. It puts a smile on my face to see so many people dipping their toes into a more self-sufficient way of living.
Who knows, maybe next year all those new gardeners will add a chicken coop to their backyard.
