Can you believe it's February already?
This past Friday I sent an email to all of you about the perceived seed shortage this year. I hope it helps you avoid a few headaches planning your garden.
You can read that post by clicking here.
Anyway, moving on...
Last week I rolled out our plans to take the weekly newsletter and turn it into a friendly ‘hello’ from all of us at Rural Sprout.
This week I wanted to let you in on something pretty cool coming your way.
Have you ever wondered about the writers behind your favorite posts? Or who started Rural Sprout and why? Have you ever read one of our author bios and found yourself curious about their homesteading style?
Over the next several weeks, I’ll be highlighting a few Rural Sprout members here in the newsletter. We’ll get a glimpse into their lives and what drew them to homesteading.
We have such a great group of folks here at Rural Sprout. I’m excited about this chance for us to get to know them better.
This past Tuesday, Phil gave us the news that we could expect another six more weeks of winter. And out here in Pennsylvania (not too far from Punxsutawney Phil himself), it seems he’s right.
It’s been bitterly cold and snowy, which has me thinking about comfort food. I’ve been making desserts from 10 Delicious Desserts to Make In Your Cast-Iron Skillet.
I dug out the last bag of rhubarb from the freezer for the rhubarb cobbler; it sure hit the spot. Good thing the rhubarb will be up in another couple of months.
I managed to check off a few items from Cheryl’s February Garden Jobs list.
