It's What's Up Wednesday!

It’s a rainy Wednesday, and we’re gearing up for the first thunderstorm of the season. My soil was ready to be worked and looking good, so I was out getting some things planted yesterday. I got radishes, turnips, arugula and spinach sown. 

And now it’s all being watered in nicely. 

I got thinking about the little blurb you always see on the back of seed packets: “sow as soon as soil can be worked,” and what that means, exactly. Whether you’re new to this whole gardening thing or you’ve been doing it for ages, it still seems to be a pretty vague concept among gardeners. So, let’s check it out!

Also, Mickey discussed some perennials that need to be divided in the spring, but just as important, you need to know which perennials NOT to divide in the spring.
