Oh boy, my friends, it’s going to be an interesting weekend!

Here in my neck of the woods, we’re all hunkering down for a good ol’ fashioned French Toast storm. (You know, so called because everyone rushes to the store to buy bread, eggs and milk.) 

While the snow falls, I think I will skip the French toast and head down to my basement. 

There’s nothing like being snowed in this time of year to really get the “green itch” going. I’ve got a list of seeds to sow, African violets that need to be repotted, and potatoes that need to be chitted this weekend.

I’ll probably do some baking, too. As a kid, whenever we were expecting a big weekend snowstorm, my mom and I would head up to my grandmother’s, up on the hill, and bake while we got snowed in.
