It's What's Up Wednesday!

It’s currently 24°F. By the end of the day, it will be 70°F. Spring is wild. I’m now only five days away from our final predicted last frost date where I live. I’m hoping the weather sticks to that prediction, as covering everything for the last three nights in a row, both tender vegetables and dainty spring buds, has turned into quite the chore. 

As I draped nearly every bed sheet I own over my raised beds last night, I considered whether they might like a bedtime story or even a glass of milk. 

Would the spinach feel less afraid of the pending freeze with a nightlight? 

I made sure to cut plenty of stalks from my bridal wreath spirea to enjoy indoors, as I knew it would be blasted by the freeze last night. Its showy blooms are some of my favorites each spring. I spent much of last spring putting my raised beds in and getting the vegetable garden established. This year, I’m looking forward to spending more time working in my flower beds.
