Hello friends, it’s Friday!

We had our first frost last night. I went out into the garden and pulled up all the beans and covered my biquinho peppers so I’ll still have a good harvest for pickling. This weather has put me fully into squirrel mode. 

I’ve made several large pots of soup to freeze this week. 

Butternut squash soup, black bean soup, Zuppa Toscana, and roasted tomato with the last of my ripe tomatoes. I’ve also been out in the woods collecting pine cones. I have several holiday crafts in mind, but I generally like to have a large basketful on hand throughout the year, as they come in handy both in and out of the garden.
