It's What's Up Wednesday!

Hello, my friends, it’s cold and snowy out, and I’m loving it! Oh, don’t get me wrong, I’m in the throes of garden planning and buying seeds and planting things, too. But I’m enjoying the big, fat flakes coming down. (Somehow, the snow makes hot cocoa taste even better.)

Apparently, Monday was the dreaded ‘Blue Monday,’ said to be the most depressing day of the year. 

Luckily, we gardeners have quite a bit going on right now to prevent the winter blues.

I had a reader reach out last week with questions about starting peppers after they had a rough summer trying to grow them. So, I figured now was a great time to talk about getting peppers started, along with a few tricks to growing them.

They’re one of those long-season vegetables that don’t play by the same rules as other members of the Solanaceae family.
