It's What's Up Wednesday!

It’s still frosty and cold here in the middle of Pennsylvania, but indoors, I’m already getting hit hard by the annual “green itch.” Luckily, I have plenty of indoor gardening to keep me busy. It’s a great time of year to repot houseplants. Most are still dormant. 

I’m also starting seeds, the ones you need to get going early. 

This got me thinking about a weird trend I’ve been seeing the past couple of years. I keep seeing seedlings offered for sale of plants that are only meant to be direct-sown. So, let’s talk about the plants that don’t get started from seed and why we even start seeds indoors in the first place. (It’s not what many assume.)

And our perennial queen, Mickey, has been hard at work dealing with the green itch in her own way. You would not believe the number of plants you can propagate this time of year. Her article has me eyeing a few in my backyard, wondering if I would like more of them. I love shopping for free plants in my own yard! How about you?
