It's What's Up Wednesday!

I’m not entirely sure what’s up this Wednesday, but I can tell you what’s down – the temperature. My aunt in Wisconsin messaged me the other day to say they were expecting wind chills as low as -50F. 

-50F! It boggles the mind!

Not to mention, it makes you want to stay indoors. This cold weather sure makes spring feel like a long way off, which is why I’ve made a conscious decision to plan out my new raised bed layout now.

I always feel like I have more time and end up getting busy with something else, only to realize I should have started a certain vegetable weeks ago or the seeds I wanted have sold out. Then suddenly the growing season is here. 

This doesn’t happen only in the spring. It’s a fall thing, too, which led to this article in particular. Not that I have personal experience here. Nope, not me. :)

If you didn't get a chance to get your garlic in the ground last fall, there's still time, but you need to take care of an important step ASAP.

Maybe read this one now and then save the actual pruning for when temps are in the double digits again.
