I know what you’re thinking. I’m finally recovered from the holidays, and you’re emailing about Christmas. 

I want to remind our readers that if you want a Christmas cactus (or Thanksgiving cactus) that is resplendent with flowers for the 2025 holiday season, now is the time to act. 

Too often, I receive emails in November and December from readers asking what they can do to get their holiday cactus to bloom. 

By then, it’s too late. Early spring is the best time to make sure you have a blooming cactus later this year.
