Good morning to my favorite people on the internet, 

I’m still walking around the house on cloud nine this morning because I have a beautiful, new raised bed right outside my kitchen door. I spent Sunday afternoon setting it up, and yes, I’m going to plant a few things in it this week. (I’m adding a polytunnel.)

If you recall, I made the decision this fall to switch to raised beds. 

After yet another disastrous year of fighting with the soil, I gave up. It’s time. I spent several weeks looking into my options and decided to buy raised beds rather than build my own.

When I mentioned the switch in the newsletter, many of you wrote in to ask which raised beds I would be using. Rather than replying to each and every one of you, I figured I would set up one of the kits now, rather than waiting until spring. That way I could do a quick write-up on the brand I chose, why I chose it, and the initial setup for the Rural Sprout family. (And have greens during the winter.)

And, of course, with Christmas right around the corner, beautiful, sturdy raised beds might be just the ticket for the hard-to-please gardener on your list. (Or yourself. 😁)
