It's What's Up Wednesday

I don’t know about you folks, but I get the itch to be crafty in the fall. I think it stems from a need to keep doing something with my hands once the garden is kaput. I get nesty in the fall, as I’ve mentioned in a previous newsletter. Too much watching the squirrels from my office window, I suppose. 

This week, for What’s Up Wednesday, I thought I would round up some interesting things to make with your hands, whether it’s cooking or crafting. 

It’s always nice to cook something up that will leave the house smelling wonderful while you’re busy making something useful for crafty. 

It's my favorite time of year to eat Brussels sprouts - after a frost. And these refrigerator pickles are a great addition to your table now that foods are getting heavier with the cooler weather. 

If you saved seeds this year, you'll want to use Cheryl's template to print out some DIY seed packets. They're so much fun to make and decorate. It really makes the seed-saving experience your own. 

Now that I have houseplant destroyers, I mean kittens, I've been putting most of my plants in hangers to keep them up and out of harms way. These are simple and quick to make and look lovely. 

Speaking of houseplants, I love the look of old terracotta, don't you? It's easy to fake it with new pots and a few household ingredients. 

I have been eating this stuff like it's going out of style. I'm going to get my last batch set up for the year with my final peppers of the season. 

I've switched to reusable bags quite some time ago, however I still forget them in the car on occasion. These projects certainly come in handy.
