It’s Friday, and I’m finally running at full power again. That means seedlings need to go in the ground this weekend.
It also means I’m going to do battle with the mounds of Creeping Charlie in my flower beds so I can uncover what’s growing in them.
If you
don't hear from me by Sunday, send a search and rescue with a weed whacker! (Also, stay tuned for an article on ways of keeping Charlie in check!)
I cracked open my last jar of pickles this week, which got me thinking about cucumbers and whether or not I have enough seedlings for all the pickles I want to make this year.
I suppose there’s always the farmers market if I need more.
Because you are all my favorite people on the
internet, I whipped up a quick read with my top 5 Quick Tips for Cucumber Planting Success. Do these five things at planting time, and you’ll be snacking on crisp, garden-fresh cucumbers before you can say, “Sweet baby gherkins!”
Oh, and don't forget to share this piece with other
gardening friends if you find it useful. (It's truly appreciated.)
