Look, we all know that tomatoes love basil and marigolds, so we plant them together in our gardens. 

 

But sometimes the most important thing to know is what not to do. And as we learn more about allelopathic plants, we're also finding there are some 'anti' companion plants out there. 

 

Before you put your tomatoes in the garden this year, make sure you aren't planting them next to a neighbor that's going to steal nutrients or draw in tomato pests.
