Yesterday’s email provided a few good laughs all around. This email is a bit more serious. 

I’ve seen a lot of pieces with headlines like “How to Start a Garden for Free.” I always read them when they pop up, and I get frustrated because they’re filled with silly or unhelpful tips that by no means lead to a free garden.  

I’ve been pretty broke before, like, ‘Do I buy groceries or oil for the furnace?’ broke. And I’ve bootstrapped a few gardens in my lifetime. So, I wrote my own practical guide on how to start a garden on the cheap – no silly tips here. As always, give it a read and share it around. We might help a few new gardeners join our ranks.
