I don’t know about you, but it’s about this time each year that I start getting overwhelmed with garden tasks. The advent of spring brings a steady list of chores.

Okay, I’ve started the seeds. Now, I need to get the spring garlic planted this week. Oh, and I should probably start sowing cool-weather crops out in the garden.

Oh, no, wait, I still need to finish cleaning up that one bed from last year.

The roses need to be pruned and tidied, or maybe I should clean up the hosta beds first. 

Ooh, the crocus are in bloom, and look, there are more snowdrops! 

Wait, what was I doing? 

She put together a quick list of easy tasks you need to do to get your roses in tip-top shape this spring. (She's going to make a rose-gardener out of me yet!) 

Mickey did all the planning for you and me, so all we need to do is grab our gloves and pruners and head outside.
